Like Robin Hood in reverse, Fine Gael take from the poor and give to the rich. To be more precise they take from low and middle income earners and give to the top 10%.

They are ably helped by their very own Friar Tuck but again in reverse. Labour are the jovial mendicant’s alter ego, slavishly bending to the authority of Frankfurt and Brussels.

Today Dublin Mid West Sinn Féin started a weekly protest calling for an end to austerity and for investment in jobs, services and economic recovery. The protest will take place every Saturday from 1.30 to 2.30 outside the Clondalkin Civic Offices in Clondalkin Village.

Speaking following the release of the CSO monthly live register figures today Sinn Féin Dublin Mid West representative Eoin Ó Broin has said that ‘there has been no fall in unemployment in Clondalkin and Lucan this month despite a marginal decrease country wide.’
