Do we want more women in politics?

Women make up almost 50% of the population. Yet astonishingly, only 15.1% of TDs in the Dáil are women. The 2011 general election was one of the most dramatic in recent history, with a record 84 seats changing hands. Despite this fact the number of women elected only increased marginally on the 2007 general election.
